Thrifted Fabric Event

In this class we will be using thrifted/secondhand fabric to create a comfy and cozy chore jacket to keep you warm throughout this Winter! Ideal material to use for this project would be any thrifted fabric that has medium thickness and little to no stretch to it. Some good examples of fabric to bring would be a quilt, denim with little to no stretch, or a vintage blanket. This class is great for anyone who has sewn before, but is also welcome to adventurous beginners as well!

Materials Needed:

1. Pre-Washed Thrifted/Secondhand Fabric: 2-3.25 yards (Usually one full blanket.) XS: 2 yards, Small: 2.25 yards, Med: 2.5 yards, Large: 2.75 yards, XL: 2.75 yards, 2X: 3.25 yards.

Instructor: Crystal Holloway
Instructor Bio: Hi, I’m Crystal! I founded Loose Fruit to explore my passion for sewing and creating unique clothing. I took my first sewing class nearly two years ago, and I’ve been completely hooked since! I focus on using secondhand fabrics—like quilts, tablecloths, towels, and more! This not only emphasizes sustainability, but also adds a distinctive flair to each of the pieces I make.
